Uresti is Lone Leader after Round 2 of the 50th Southern Texas PGA Professional Championship

VICTORIA, TEXAS --- Omar Uresti, PGA Life Member, fired 2-under par, 69, during Round Two of the 50th Southern Texas PGA Professional Championship presented by Club Car and OMEGA to be the lone the leader at 5-under par 137 heading into the final round.

Ben Willman, PGA Teaching Professional at Axis Golf Academy and Ben Kern, PGA Head Professional at Georgetown Country Club share possession of second place with a two-day total of 138 (-4). Shadow Hawk Country Club’s PGA Assistant Professional Joe Mitchell sits two-strokes behind with a 140 (-2).

Victoria Country Club is hosting the 54-hole stroke play event for all three rounds. The course is playing at 6,856-yards, par 71 for this week’s Championship.

The purse for the 50th Southern Texas PGA Professional Championship presented by Club Car and OMEGA is $42,000. The champion will take home $8,400.

The Final Round will commence on Wednesday, August 29 at 7:30 a.m. Uresti, Willman, and Kern will tee off at 9:30 a.m.
