Marshals needed
The Administaff Small Business Classic is coming up the week of October 18-24 at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course, and your help is needed.
Tournament organizers are searching for a few golf clubs willing to provide volunteer marshals for the PGA Champions Tour event.
 |
Interested clubs are asked to recruit 20 to 25 people to marshal a given hole. One volunteer will be designated the “Hole Captain,” and that person will be responsible for scheduling the other marshals according to a schedule provided by the tournament office. The number of marshals per hole and per shift depends upon the hole in question and its characteristics (par 3, 4 or 5, water, trees, boundaries, etc.).
Marshals will be utilized on Monday, Oct. 18, and Wednesday through Sunday, Oct. 20 through 24. Marshal training and uniform distribution will take place at the Tournament Course on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The volunteer package costs $65 and includes two Tehama golf shirts, a hat or visor with an Administaff Small Business Classic logo, a volunteer badge that allows entry through the week of the tournament, volunteer parking and meals on scheduled work days, a complimentary round of golf on the Tournament Course (for volunteers working a minimum of four shifts), a volunteer gift and invitation to a volunteer party.
Volunteer registration is available online at www.administaffclassic.com. Questions may be directed to Anne Jenkins, volunteer coordinator for the Administaff Small Business Classic, at 281-357-4653 or by e-mail at ajenkins@championstourgolf.com. |
