Ben Kern Wins Low Club Professional at 100th PGA Championship

August 12th, 2018

Ben Kern (Georgetown Country Club) recorded the lowest four-day total score in PGA Championship history for a PGA Professional last week at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. Kern finished the event with a score of 277 (-3) leading to a T42 finish. After making a birdie putt on his final hole during Friday’s second round, Kern made the cut on the number and was the only one of the twenty PGA Professionals who competed to advance to the weekend. Once he did, Kern recorded a bogey-free round of 67 (-3) on Saturday which led to a final round pairing with two-time major champion Zach Johnson.
