The fourth annual Levy Cup Matches will be contested much like the Joe Black Cup Matches. The Levy Cup team will consist of six STPGA Assistant Members (A-8 only) and six STPGA Senior Members (any classification) competing against a Northern Texas PGA team comprised of the same classifications.

The SouthernTexas PGA will play host to the 2020 event in November.

At the conclusion of the National Car Rental Southern Texas Assistant PGA Professional Championship the STPGA Team of 12 players will be determined as follows:

  • The top six (6) employed class A-8 Southern Texas PGA Members determined by the STPGA Open Division Player of the Year Points list
  • The top six (6) Southern Texas PGA members of any classification, that are classified in the Southern Texas PGA, and have reached their 50th birthday on or before the first round of competition at the Southern Texas PGA Professional Championship, determined by the STPGA Senior Division Player of the Year Points List.
**Note** Any changes in classification or employment within 30 days of the official Practice Round of the Matches will not impact the composition of the team.

The Levy Cup Matches is an annual event in the Northern and Southern Texas Sections and are contested much like the Joe Black Cup Matches. The Levy Cup teams consist of six Assistant PGA Members (A-8 only) and six Senior PGA Members (any classification) from each Section competing against each other.

Established in 2017, the Levy Cup Matches were created to honor Paul Levy who is completing his first term as President of the PGA of America. The inaugural Matches were hosted October 15-17, 2017 at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas. The Northern and Southern Texas PGA Section’s alternate hosting the event each year.
