The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch to Host Spring Classic

SPRING, TX – The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch will play host to the Spring Classic presented by AHEAD, Cobra Puma, PXG, and US Foods on May 20-21. This marks the second time that The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch, a 7,133-yard, par 72 layout, has hosted a Southern Texas PGA Major Tournament. It also hosted the 2011 Texas Joe Black Cup Matches.

In last year’s event, Eric Bogar, PGA Golf Instructor at Golfcrest Country Club, returned to the STPGA winners circle five years after winning the STPGA Assistant Professional Championship. Bogar shot 67-70 for a two-day total of 137 (-7) to take the top spot over Pablo del Olmo, Rufus Brijalba, and Kate Granahan, who all recorded a 140 (-4) to finish tied for second.

In the Senior Division, Ricky Arnett, PGA Head Professional at Great Hills Country Club shot 71-73 to finish with a total of 144 (E) to beat Billy Sitton by one stroke. Robert Thompson and David Lundstrom finished tied for third with a score of 146 (+2).
