PGA of America Associate Orientation

The Southern Texas PGA will begin conducting an Associate Orientation Program commencing on January 1, 2026. The goal of this program will be to educate our Level 1 Associates on the STPGA, create networking opportunities, and, most importantly, motivate our Associates about the industry and PGA of America Membership.

Mandatory Participation

The Associate Orientation Program will be mandatory for any PGA of America Associate who:

  • Is already in the Southern Texas PGA Section and has not progressed beyond Level 1 as of January 1, 2026
  • Any PGA of America Associate who transfers into the Southern Texas PGA after January 1, 2026, and has not progressed beyond Level 1
  • Any new PGA of America Associate who joins the Southern Texas PGA after January 1, 2026
  • Any PGA of America Associate who was in the Suspended category and comes back as an Associate in good standing

STPGA Event Participation

PGA of America Associates who fall under one of the categories outlined under “Mandatory Participation” must complete the Associate Orientation Program prior to participating in any Southern Texas PGA Social or Tournament function.

Exception: If a PGA of America Associate enters Level 1 or transfers into the Southern Texas PGA, they may participate in Southern Texas PGA Social or Tournament functions up until the next Orientation date. Following this date, if they have not completed the Orientation, they will be unable to participate in future offerings until they complete the Orientation.

Orientation Dates

The Southern Texas PGA aims to 5-6 Associate Orientations throughout 2026, with the goal of conducting 2 in January 2026. A full schedule of Orientation dates will be published by Friday, December 12, 2025.
