Education Summit & Annual Meeting
The 58th STPGA Education Summit & Annual Meeting was held February 9–10, 2026, at The Westin San Antonio North in San Antonio, Texas.
Over two days, PGA Members, Associates, and partners gathered for education, connection, and celebration — earning valuable PDR credits while honoring the achievements of our Section.

STPGA Education Workshop
This two-day PGA Education Workshop, led by Dawes Marlatt, PGA, and Eric Hogge, PGA, is designed for PGA Members looking to advance their careers in coaching and teaching.
Participants in the STPGA Education Workshop will earn 16 PDR credits while gaining an inside look at the Specialized Professional Program (SPP). This workshop is designed to give you a hands-on look at the SPP experience before committing, while earning valuable education credits along the way.
Attendees consistently describe this workshop as streamlined, impactful, and immediately applicable.
PGA HOPE Instructor Training
The Southern Texas PGA will be conducting a PGA HOPE Instructor Training on Monday, October 26 at TPC San Antonio for any PGA Member, PGA Associate, or LPGA Member who wishes to be trained as an instructor for assisting with or conducting a PGA HOPE program in 2027.
Attendees will receive seven (7) Education PDR's for attendance.
Coaching & Teaching Summit
The Coaching & Teaching Summit is designed for PGA Professionals dedicated to improving how they connect, communicate, and develop players of all skill levels.
Through focused sessions, peer collaboration, and practical coaching tools, attendees gain strategies that translate directly to the lesson tee and the training environment.
Walk away with sharper insight, renewed inspiration, and techniques you can implement immediately.
Because great coaching is never static.
