Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Week is Here!

Thirtieth annual event commences with Pro-Am raising $30,000 for college scholarships and junior golf
MONT BELVIEU, TX (October 6, 2026) –
The Southern Texas PGA is excited to start off the 30th Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open by announcing the winners of the Pro-Am that featured 25 teams representing companies from all over south Texas!
Out of the incredible partners that teed off today, we congratulate Team Caliber featuring Bill Kiteley, Jarett Marchand, Shane Lee, and Carlton Sledge, led by Professional Steven Russell, for being crowned our 2026 Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Pro-Am Champions!
Hosting this event each year makes for an incredible week showcasing Eagle Pointe Golf Club and the City of Mont Belvieu, and all our local partners that make this event possible.
This year’s event will feature 110 players over the next three days with a 36-hole cut to the low 40 and ties. This year marks the 13th consecutive year that Eagle Pointe and the City of Mont Belvieu have hosted the Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open.
The Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open Pro-Am serves as a special opportunity to raise funds for the PGA REACH Southern Texas and our Scholarship Program, thanks to the generosity of our partners.

We are proud to announce that this year’s event raised $30,000, which will be donated to the Energy Transfer Scholarship Fund. PGA REACH Southern Texas and Energy Transfer both value the ongoing support of the next generation and their educational aspiration

The Energy Transfer team surprised longtime Vice President Brad Widener, now retired, with a special gift honoring his years of dedication to Energy Transfer and the City of Mont Belvieu before he headed out to play.
In addition, we are excited to announce once again that our Professionals will be playing for a $100,000 purse, making it the largest state senior open in the country. This is our third consecutive year with this impressive purse for the players.
“This is one of the best days of the year for the Southern Texas PGA,” said Thomas Hutton, PGA Executive Director. “Having our amazing partners enjoy a day on the course with our PGA of America Members while raising money for scholarships is the perfect way to kick off the 30th Energy Transfer Texas Senior Open presented by OPD, Vortech Contracting, Riceland, and the City of Mont Belvieu."
Over the next three days, people are welcome to come out to Eagle Pointe to watch the event.
