ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for induction, candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Be at least 50 years old during the induction year, with the age requirement waived for posthumous candidates.
  • Have a minimum of 15 years as a PGA Member while physically residing and working within the Southern Texas Section.
  • Have a minimum of 20 years of total PGA of America membership in good standing.
  • Consistently uphold the highest ethical standards and tenets of the PGA of America.
  • Not currently serve on the Southern Texas PGA Board of Directors.

INDUCTION PROCESS

The Southern Texas PGA Hall of Fame induction process is designed to preserve the integrity and prestige of the honor. Formal nominations may be submitted by any STPGA Member in good standing. Once nominations are received, the Section office verifies that each nominee meets the mandatory eligibility requirements.

Eligible nominees then complete a preliminary application outlining their career achievements across the Hall of Fame’s core pillars. The Section office verifies the submitted information and presents ranked candidates to the STPGA Board of Directors for review.

Following Board review, selected candidates are invited to complete a final application, which includes letters of recommendation and narrative responses regarding their career, service, and impact. Final induction requires a two-thirds majority vote by the STPGA Board of Directors. No more than five individuals may be inducted during each biennial induction cycle.
