Meet the Member: Alden Wallace, PGA
Alden Wallace, PGA – Rookie Member with a Veteran Mentality
Growing up in Shreveport, Louisiana, Alden Wallace picked up a golf club at age five and never looked back. After rising through the junior ranks and competing at the national level, she earned a spot on the LSU Women’s Golf Team, an experience that changed everything.
“When I signed, I think we were ranked around 40. By my sophomore year, we had Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone join the team, and we became a top-five program,” Alden shared. “We went to Nationals four out of my five years and even won an SEC Championship. It was awesome.”
But as much as she thrived on the course, Alden discovered an even deeper passion beyond competition: teaching.
“I realized I liked working on my swing more than I liked playing golf,” she said. “I got my confidence from my ball striking, so helping others feel that same confidence just felt more fulfilling.”
After graduating, Alden began teaching at Lakeside Country Club, later joining Ascend Golf Academy, and now serves as a PGA Teaching Professional and co-owner of Hal Sutton Golf Academy. Her coaching style is built on technical precision, strong communication, and a true passion for helping others grow.
Off the course, Alden stays active with golf-specific workouts, enjoys relaxing evenings at home, and cherishes time with her dog and kitten. “They keep things entertaining,” she laughed. “Simple living, Netflix, and the gym, that’s kind of my thing.”
She’s also clear on where she hopes her teaching journey might take her: “Ultimate success? Standing on the back of the range at the Masters or the U.S. Women’s Open would be pretty cool.”
With a heart for mentorship and a mind for the mechanics, Alden continues to blend experience and passion in her mission to grow the game, one swing at a time.
